In an everchanging environment where every “new” idea becomes the next big thing, Quality Assurance has morphed tremendously!! Moving away from the conventional word of “software testing”, QA comprises much much more than just finding bugs!! QA specialist is now required to know the lay of the land from agile, DevOps, IOT to RPA. As the world revolves in this amazing digital transformation, Quality Assurance professionals often find themselves in a chaotic role. The need for a QA kit is quintessential and in my opinion, encompasses the following 3 areas: – • An adaptive mindset Often organizations pay attention to the skillset, failing to realize the right skill set can always be acquired with the right mindset. Agile, waterfall or a combination?? • The desire to embrace the “New” Applying new techniques and understanding the impact of automated solutions and how they will enhance quality assurance (i.e – Robotic Process Automation & QA, match made in heaven?) • An innovative approach SSA – Spot, Simplify, Automate Change is imminent and QA professionals need to be chameleons to keep up with the transformations.
