Regulations are the future of software as government and public perception demand corporations to act with more due diligence approach. AI also brings new ethical issues that regulators must endorse and amplify the regulations pool. Diversity and inclusion are not only a trend, but a reality, and building scenarios with diversity personas is a great tool to prevent edge cases and overall frustration (and losses!) with the people that use the software.

Takeaways from the talk:

  • The tradition of software being done and thought by tech bros. The tradition of software being made “fast and furious – ask for forgiveness is better than ask for permission” approach. The agile manifesto and the lack of quality perspective. Industries that demand regulations and reasons for those regulations to exist. Examples of failure and the consequences of systems that skipped diversity and inclusion. Example of creating personas and DI using TDD approach.
