Following the testing strategy of enterprise applications, many mobile apps are tested using simulation tools in which the locations from where the apps will be accessed is not taken into consideration. Despite being a critical success factor, mobile app performance at end user locations is often made visible only after the launch of the app. What is needed is an infrastructure and platform that supports the deployment of physical mobile devices that can be orchestrated centrally and remotely for performance assessment purpose. Even better if any performance issues can be highlighted to the development team so as to streamline the investigation. Such an assessment can also provide visibility on the network performance of different mobile network carriers. The presentation will share the paradigm of using such an infrastructure and platform in the agile mobile app evolution that is commonly seen in all enterprises large and small.
