This talk will cover the use of mocking (specifically WireMock) in order to minimize dependencies on third-party services during app development and testing.

* Whenever possible, testing should be quick, easy, and not rely on the availability of external services
* Integration testing using WireMock & Docker allows fine-grained control over test scenarios
* Adding a WireMock standalone instance to test & dev environments allows those environments to more closely imitate production and increases confidence in deployments
