Privacy and Security go hand in hand when designing and fielding a blockchain solution. We will examine the underlying philosophy behind the design of the first implementation, Bitcoin, and how this is reflected in its security model. Furthermore, the development system used in this implementation will be contrasted with other systems, and how those systems, by ignoring the original development model, have compromised their own security in the field. This strikes at the heart of certain development practices, and how they are unsuitable for implementing blockchains, without guaranteeing a serious issue during their lifetime.
