In the fast-paced world of test automation, there is much emphasis on shifting left and using various tools to support this strategy. However, the potential to reuse existing automated UI scripts to optimize effort and save time is often overlooked. In this session, I’ll focus on synthetic monitoring and accessibility testing as prime areas for script reuse.

I’ll share practical techniques for reusing scripts for these applications, and guide you on how to adjust UI tests to simulate realistic user behavior and monitor application health. I’ll also delve into integrating accessibility checks into the existing test framework and ensuring your accessibility testing practices are in line with industry standards and regulations.

I’ll point out specific tools and frameworks that support smooth test script reuse and show how they can be integrated with Playwright automation frameworks.

Takeaways from your talk: By the end of this presentation, you’ll have the knowledge and tools to effectively reuse your UI automation scripts, resulting in a more efficient and comprehensive testing process.
