The quality engineers cannot be people who just find defects anymore, QE needs to wear multiple hats now to be a “Full Stack tester”. We trained all QE to be automation engineers and integrated automation in our definition of done, QEs own the test environments and deploy on production to reduce the time to market for new features and that’s how I achieved Releasing on Demand! We are continuously looking out for new tools and trends, the latest one being “webdriver.io” which further reduced our smoke test suite execution from 17 mins to 3.25 minutes. We are thinking beyond industry-accepted standard QA practices and doing what works well for us. We are bleeding-edge QE.
