A review of a journey implementing test automation for backend testing, within an eCommerce context. This includes the identification of existing issues that test automation aimed to address, together with considerations for the test automation framework. The challenges encountered in the implementation process, quantification of the benefits of test automation, maintenance considerations, and future plans are also discussed.
