Call for Paper Open
Got something real to say about AI engineering? We want to hear from you.
The AI Engineering Summit brings together the people actually building, shipping, and governing AI-powered software.
We’re looking for speakers who’ve been in the trenches — not polished vendor pitches, but honest, experience-driven talks that practitioners can take back to work on Monday.
Call for paper ends on: Aug 20, 2026

Norman Paulsen
VP of Software Engineering, Accion Group
I’ve published research on LLMs, provided real-world value with AI and am using AGI to amplify my teams output (roughly 10x). I have 20 years of experience in digital transformation, artificial intelligence, software development, organizational design, eCommerce, and digital marketing, with multiple public speaking engagements in these fields. I’ve led large dev teams, worked at lean startups with hands on experience in Generative AI: Vectorization, RAG, Agentic, Speech-to-Speech.
I am passionate about creating long-term strategies for success and growth while still achieving near-term results. I have reduced IT OpEx spend by 32%, decreased AWS spend by 85%, and launched a company-wide digital transformation effort that will impact every aspect of the business. I also have built and led high-performing teams that deliver innovative solutions and exceptional customer experiences. I am a data driven decision maker focused on continuous improvement and continuous learning.

I am a senior operating executive with 25 years of building product-led companies. Eight companies co-founded, six exits. In 2005, I co-founded Effective Inc, the world’s first user experience and digital product firm, recognized as such by Forrester Research. O’Reilly Media published a book based on its philosophies. WPP acquired it.
My teams built one of the first iPad applications, the first FDA-approved critical-care mobile application for hospitals, and national security systems for audiences that do not tolerate failure. We served roughly 40 percent of the Fortune 100. More than 100 design and innovation awards. Four consecutive years on the Inc. 500. Seventeen patents awarded. Almost no one knows my name. Almost everyone has used something my teams designed.
That track record taught me where large organizations actually break when they adopt new technology. The Design Thinking work from Effective shapes how I approach AI now: understand the system before you change it, iterate from evidence, make invisible processes visible.
Those lessons became AI First Principles (aifirstprinciples.org), an open-source framework for rebuilding operations around AI, and The WISER Method (wisermethod.com), the systematic playbook that puts those principles into practice. I co-authored WISER with Robb Wilson while I ran training and adoption at OneReach.ai, the enterprise AI platform recognized by Gartner, Forrester, IDC, Aragon, and Everest Group. Two years there taught me the part most AI programs skip. Buying the platform is not adoption, and adoption is not capability. I built the training program, the courses, and the playbooks that closed that gap.

Deep focus on AGI linguistics and State Space Machine models. Developed new protocols to natively process human emotion and speech inflection based on contextual inline data.
Sigil 42 Labs is an R&D research incubator for developing advanced, cutting edge science and technology with a focus on AGI as a partner vs AI as a product.
